Grace was born in the Northwest Territories of Yellowknife, Canada. At the age of four Grace and her family immigrated to a southern California artistic beach town of Laguna Beach. In Grace's youth, the community of artists that surrounded her as well as her father, a renowned goldsmith in Laguna Beach, inspired her. When Grace was a young woman the wild lust of adventure prompted her to travel the world. From her travels through India, Asia and Mexico Grace absorbed the art and culture that she experienced first hand. That experience lit her artistic flame that has pushed her to pursue a life and career as an artist today. Grace now resides and creates her art between Hawaii and Oregon.
The medium of paper has been an inspiration of Graces since 1986. From those early years until now she has been on a journey that has refined itself through her into the beautiful creations you see today. For Grace, paper is a forgiving medium that renders itself into soft shapes and forms. Her artistic flair transforms the papers appearance into the luster of metal and of the texture of Raku. With Graces passion for exploring texture and color she is creating a harmonious illusion that brings her unique wall hangings to life. The pieces currently being created are assemblages of paper, various natural items, glass, inks, paints, and composition leafing.
